Porto Seguro, Bahia - More than excellence in promoting a big event, always thinking about the smallest details to bring the best in terms of structure and experience to the participants, the organization of the ultramarathon Brasil Ride also stands out for listening to cyclists. Thus, a new feature will mark the tenth edition of the race, between October 20 and 26, in the extreme south of Bahia: men and women will have equal awards in the male and female elites. In all, 86,000 reais in cash will be offered to cyclists, including mixed and master doubles.

The sum of three awards makes up the final value: the award offered by the organization for top 3 of the open, female, mixed and master categories; in addition to the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) awards, by stages (for the top five) and overall ranking, for the top ten, both for UCI open and women's entries.

"It's ten years of Brasil Ride, always working to improve. In 2019 we focus a lot on the female audience. For that, we seek partners with vision of this market within Brasil Ride. A good example is one of the last sponsors we closed, Shop2gether, one of the largest fashion e-commerce, with a base of more than 600,000 active customers across the country, well known to women," said Mario Roma, founder of Brasil Ride.

"This partnership with Shop2gether and other actions, such as having a wide range of feminine products in our store, the Brasil Ride Store, enabled the appreciation of women in Brasil Ride and the consequent increase in the number of female participants in our tests. We had, for example, nine world champions at the 24-Hour Solo MTB World Championship in Costa Rica (MS), seven of them Brazilian. This is the characteristic of our agency, to go after and find partners who buy our ideas and thus achieve our goals, " complements Mario Roma.

Considered the Giro d'Italia of Mountain Biking, the ultramarathon scheduled for October 20-26 offers a strong challenge for 550 participating athletes from around the world. For seven days, they face about 600 km and almost 11,000 m of accumulated altitude, between trails and dirt roads that connect Arraial d'Ajuda, in Porto Seguro, to Brasil Ride Village, built annually in Guaratinga. On the last day of the competition, Saturday (26), more than 1,500 cyclists from all over the country join the stars of the international mountain bike, for the Marathon of the Discoveries race. A unique opportunity to ride and see the world's best mountain bikers in action.
