Porto Seguro, Bahia - The 10th edition of Brasil Ride promises to be really special. If the interest of cyclists from around the world to compete in the event, between October 20 and 26, in the south of Bahia, is evident from the fact that the race annually reaches the limit of 550 participants, the demand for international media to cover the event also catches the eye, with the confirmation of state-owned NHK TV from Japan, Ciclismo + TV from Portugal, and Rad Sport Szene from Austria, as well as major TV and other press companies from Brazil.

Japan's NHK TV's program "Great Race" exemplifies the magnitude that Brasil Ride will reach, with the prediction of having a single 90-minute episode about the tenth edition of the ultramarathon held in Bahia, with an audience of 1.5 million people, only in the first time the episode goes on air. This number increases to over 2 million with the redisplays, not counting other international media that disclose the race. A total of 19 people on the production team, coordinated by a New Zealand production company, are due to attend the event in October to film each mile of the race.

Olympic and world champions are also confirmed in the tenth edition. This is the case of Brazilian Henrique Avancini, current world champion in the MTB Marathon and third place in the UCI MTB World Cup ranking, Dutchman Bart Brentjens, gold medalist of the 1996 Olympic Games and winner of the 1995 World Cup, and Portuguese Tiago Ferreira, 2016 MTB Marathon World Champion and two-time European Champion in 2017 and 2019. European Champion in 2018, Alexey Medvedev will be in the race, just as the Specialized Factory Team will also feature a duo in the competition.

Another renowned MTB cyclist chose Brasil Ride as a race to have his "grand finale" in the sport. After Czech Jiri Novak, in 2017, when he won his third ultramarathon title, this time alongside Henrique Avancini, and the two times world champion, Belgian Roel Paulissen, who together with Brazilian Hugo Prado Neto made their farewells in 2018, This time the Portuguese Luis Leão Pinto has his retirement scheduled for Brasil Ride. Champion in 2012 alongside his countryman Tiago Ferreira, Luis will compete with Spaniard Enrique Morcillo in the this year the event. All moments of the Buff Scott MTB Team duo will be recorded by a video team, bringing to thousands of people the thrills of this special race for the Portuguese cyclist.

The race - Considered the Giro d'Italia of Mountain Biking, the ultramarathon scheduled for October 20-26 offers a strong challenge for 550 participating athletes from around the world. For seven days, they face about 600 km and almost 11,000 m of accumulated altitude, between trails and dirt roads that connect Arraial d'Ajuda, in Porto Seguro, to Brasil Ride Village, built annually in Guaratinga. On the last day of the competition, Saturday (26), more than 1,500 cyclists from all over the country join the stars of the international mountain bike, for the Marathon of the Discoveries race.
